How does the Android TV compares to the mediaDROIDX? The mediaDROIDX runs a special baked Android OS that we developed specifically for our Digital Signage software. The CPU / GPU on the mediaDROIDX are more powerful compared to the ones on the built in Android TV. Both the Android TV and mediaDROIDX run HD video at super smooth 60 fps, however with the mediaDROIDX you will be able to push the limits of your presentation as the CPU/GPU are faster. Also with the mediaDROIDX you are not locked in to a particular TV set. At the end of day, at MediaSignage we give you all the options, but we do feel the mediaDROIDX is a better option!
If you own an Android TV, you can download the SignagePlayer APK directly onto your TV and install it.
Be sure to install both the SignagePlayer and Watchdog APKs.
