ABC's "Shark Tank" Hears Digital Signage Biz Model Pitch
While watching the first episode of "Shark Tank" on Hulu this morning, I was intrigued to find that one of the hopeful entrepreneur's was pitching a digital out-of-home media opportunity. Kevin Flannery was on the show to convince "the sharks" to invest $1.2 million in WiSpots, a place-based media company that installs patient interaction centers in medical offices to provide educational, entertainment and personal productivity options to patients while they wait. The cornerstone of the WiSpots concept are wireless Web pads that waiting patients can utilize to access engaging and informative content.
